Our
battlefield tours are arranged to the places that we know
best: WWII battlefields in Karelia and around St Petersburg.
Special
features of our trips:
- Our
guiding on the battlefields is based on research in Finnish
(Sota-arkisto) and Russian (RGVA) archives and veteran
interviews from Russia and Finland.
- Our
guides are from the Karelian Isthmus and St Petersburg,
so they know the battlefields and can take tourists to
the places that other guides are unaware of.
- Our
guides are wearnig original and replica uniforms from
WWII.
- We
have extensive contacts with official Russian search parties,
so we are able to provide insight into events on the battlefields
after WWII.
- We
have contacts wth local Russian bus companies and can
arrange transportation to places where normal tourist
bus will not pass.
- During
the trip we try our best to give a balanced view of the
battles.
- Trips
are scheduled in times when mosquitos and tall grass do
not frustrate travellers in forests.
All
these features make our battlefield tours unique.
